SMICHOV HYBRID

Located in Smichov, Prague, the building is situated on the not finished block structure, surrounded with old buildings and streets. The main idea behind the design was following the all ready applied rules on the location according to the old buildings and creating small square in front of the west façade with perforation that connects inner atrium with the square. The north façade is a big volume following the line of Botanice street. Because of the diverse of the program, and the need of better illumination of the housing part we created perforation on the façade that became a green spaces and vertical garden. On the ground floor there is a void in the volume that connects the street with the inner atrium and allows entrances in the building.
