COMPLETION OF THE PANKRÁC PLAIN

The project deals with the area of the current Pankrác Square and its surroundings. The design seeks to return the space to the people, to complete the missing buildings and to give the place an urban character. The proposal includes a change in the character of 5. Května. May from a so-called arterial street, which creates a significant barrier in the urban structure, to a boulevard full of greenery and life. The western part of the plain near the Congress Centre will be filled with mainly residential block buildings typologically related to the surrounding area. To the east of 5. Května Street are located administrative or commercial buildings. The exit of the Nusle bridge is flanked by public buildings of the gallery and library, which creates an imaginary bridge gate.
