New Těšnov and Florenc

The territory of Nový Těšnov and Florence is one of the most discussed territories of Prague these days. The area perceived as a problematic point of Prague's urbanism is connected with the historical context of the original fenced city and the city emerging on the other side of the walls. After the removal of the walls, this area is still looking for a solution. The "barrier" of the wall was replaced by the "barrier" of the Highway. This project seeks to change the solution removed barriers and wants to change the potential of the newly designed spaces, which would create the potential of this area as a so-called link between the two parts of the city divided by the former walls. The highway is replaced by Wilson Street in contact with the Green Island, a cumulative system of potential.
