Annotation

The project for the restoration of the wetlands of the river Teplá Vltava in the Lenora and Zátoň areas in the Šumava Mountains is based on the original landscape structure and has a dual goal. Revitalization of drained areas - create newdamp, wetland and water habitats with the renewal of plant and animal communities. Increasing the retention capacity of the local landscape and improving the water regime of the river floodplain in the Teplá Vltava area by restoring natural watercourses. The second goal is the partial regeneration of the historical traces of the Sudetenland border landscape. The local Sudeten genius loci disappeared after the departure of the original population and the subsequent invasion of communism.
