Ostrava Housing Estate | Poruba 4th district

The solved area is located in the city part of Ostrava - Poruba (northwestern part of the city). This modernist housing estate was built between the 1960s and 1970s and was built mainly by a row typology of buildings. The main problem of the solved area is, as with all housing estates, very little intelligibility and organization of public spaces. There are mostly public spaces overgrown with housing estate greenery, which does not meet current requirements for quality housing. The main purpose of this work was to make public spaces to its users, which is the most important tool for improving the location of a modernist housing estate.
