Footbridge over the Berounka River

David Foud

Annotation

The footbridge is designed to bridge the Berounka River in the area of the Protected Landscape Area Český kras, near the settlement called V Kozle, and connects the cycle paths "Po stopách českých králů" and the "Stezku sv. Ludmily ". The inspiration for material processing and for working with shapes was the so-called "Pražská čára", which runs along the Berounka River in the locality of the footbridge design and consists of individual reinforced concrete fortresses called "řopík". The curling of the footbridge along the curve is aimed at directing people and creating a line with interesting view points. The construction of the footbridge is designed as a set of prefabricated parts made of UHPRFC concrete.
