Velké Meziříčí in the grip of the river Balinka and Oslava

The diploma seminar deals with the analytical part of the diploma project of the planned reconstruction of the block between Kostelní and Novosady streets in Velké Meziříčí. The place, which has been characterized by narrow and long plots with the main façade facing the street since the Middle Ages, was replaced in the second half of the last century by solitaires intended for living and trade. These houses do not respect the street front, are of inappropriate scale and do not fit into the center of the monument zone. The aim of the diploma project in the next semester will be to find a suitable solution, use the potential and restore the genius loci of this place.
