ON THE BORDER OF THE INDUSTRIAL PALACE AND TRADE FAIR PALACE
Annotation
The urban solution is based on the effort to merge Dukelských hrdinů / Veletržní Street and support the view of the Industrial Palace. By changing the location of the street line, the project supports the return of the solitaires of the Police Presidium and the Parkhotel to the block structure. With the new materials, the design reduces the unused oversized public space and concentrates it into two clearly defined areas. The design contains three new objects. The first two buildings are located on land belonging to the Parkhotel. This is an extension of the Parkhotel, which in this study is solved only in terms of material and the Student Housing building, supplemented by sports activities. The third building is an extension of the Police Presidium of the Czech Republic.
