Housing for the elderly can be a tough nut to crack for major metropolises. Older people tend not to trust living standards in Senior Community Centers (SCH) and fear losing their current autonomy if they live in a community with people who have already gained some life experience. The notSCH project shows that attractive housing for seniors is also possible in the heart of Prague on Palmovka and gives them a chance to live individually but also collectively. On the active frontage they can interact with neighbors or with their friends in the social cafe, which has board games. On the floors there are studios and one bedroom flats, floors are connected by glass multi-storey halls. To improve relationships, the apartments have interconnected balconies overlooking the park or courtyard.
