House of Czech-German friendship

The half-timbered house from the second half of the 17th century in Jablonec nad Nisou is using as an exhibition space with a café. This project modifies the existing house and design a new object, which offers the potential to create a multi-purpose community center. The club-room, library and classroom are designed into three connected floors. The main material of the new building is wood, which is a reference to the existing half-timbered house. The main construction is designed from CLT panels, the facade is a combination of wood cladding and trapezoidal fiberglass cladding.
