NEW KRENN HOUSE

The aim of the studio's work is to find a solution for the restoration of the Krenn House, which used to complement the Old Town Square next to the former Town Hall block. The shape of the house adapts to the axes of the surrounding nearby streets. The residential house primarily serves Charles University, the professors, but above all the rector herself. The lowest floor is intended for students and also for the public, who can visit the restaurant or a small café directly from the square. On the other floors there are apartments for professors of the University or Nobel Prize winners from other countries. The top floor is divided into two parts. One of them houses the rector, the other contains representative rooms used for important events of the university.
