LAMFAN is an innovative ceiling fan. At first glance, it looks like a ceiling light, but when it is set in motion, it turns into a fan. During my work, I was inspired by my trip to Vietnam, to the city of Hoi An, which is famous for the production of traditional lanterns. The fan works on the principle of centrifugal force. Thus, during rotation, the blades rise and circulate the air. At the end of the rotary motion, the blades are returned to their original position. LAMFAN production is inspired by traditional lantern production. The material would consist of bamboo wood and rice paper or textiles. Although the production is based on traditional art, there are also elements that we can apply in a smart home, such as light and fan control using a mobile application.
