Main Street Kolín

The project deals with the design of the main city street for Kolín in the place of the former high intensity road, the main function of which has been taken over by the newly built southern bypass. The design searching a new image of the city. With the use of currently empty or inappropriately used plots along the streets Jaselská, Pražská and Dukelských hrdinů, the project attempts to heal the surrounding urban tissue. The new Kolín main city street reconnects most the formerly severed cross-ties, allows comfortable and safe movement for pedestrians along its entire length and adds new attractive functions and areas to the locations with great potential for future development.
