On The Edge

The apartment building located in Smíchov, uses almost the maximum of it´s atypical plot and stretches sharply along the edges, without disturbing the smoothness of the development. The extreme nature of the plot is highlighted by the dominant pointed ends of both ends of the block, which cut into the space with their distinctive glass elements. The block mass is divided into 5 parts, which adapt to the slope with minimal retreat, but are functionally connected. Each part has corner flats, on the edges and along the entire length, with protruding elements obtained by cutting out the net floor plan of the land. The apartment building also provides exclusive apartments with a view across the Vltava river. The ground floor has commercial use, with space for a cafe, shops and gallery.
