Nad Žernovníkem - Železný Brod

Over the time, new buildings were added to Železný Brod which represented their time but were disturbing the harmonious appearance of the historical surroundings. To unify the disparate city, two new buildings were designed on vacant plots, so they could improve the visage and urban structure of the center. The concept of this project is a respectful placement of the new houses between the existing ones and an effort to point out the original development. This issue was achieved through the imitation of the form, such as the overlap of the upper floor and the type of roof. Also, the used materials are connected to the surroundings. The facade is mostly covered with dark wood, which alternates with rough mineral plaster.
