Exhibition of Studio Projects

Annotation

Oblowk is a ceiling fan designed for those who are not fond of long, sharp blades. They can be dangerous. Therefore, I was looking for a way to allow the air to swirl around the room while creating a more compact shape that was closer in appearance to a lamp than a traditional fan. The result is Oblowk. It consists of two opposing arched openings connected by other surfaces into a single body. The inclined walls, as they rotate, pick up ambient air and push it down underneath, allowing better air circulation in the room. When not in use, the atypical-looking fan can perform a purely aesthetic function and serve as an interior accessory. Moreover, if we take the extra care to stand under the Arch at the right angle, we can see how warmly it can welcome us into a room.
