AULA MAGNA

In the course of history, events shaping the history of the Czech nation took place on the Old Town Square. Large masses of people gathered in the square for demonstrations, ceremonies and sports celebrations. Aula magna for the largest and oldest Czech university - Charles University. The hall in the very center of the city corresponds to the importance of the institution and the place itself. The floor plan partially copies the shape of the Gothic town hall. The solitary building has two faces. Facade facing to the square is intended for the public. There is the entrance to the aula magna with a capacity of 1100 seated spectators from the back.
