Beam center

This project begins with a stepped topography that modifies the existing park and creates a smooth transition to the upper Palacký Square. The park is then equipped with a megastructure that origins a semi-covered area. The beams create a structure without the need for pillars, a diaphanous space. The four-meter beams over the park hold a cultural center containing an exhibition area, a meeting room, and a cafe/bar. The transition between the upper cultural center and the topographic park is by two circulation cores, each with sculptural stairs that serve as eyecatchers of the project, and central elevators that support said stairs. As a result, this project continues the built riverside line by adding a singular construction that enhances the culture in Prague.
