URBAN FARM

Vertical farms play an important in creating sustainable societies, it is an innovative solution to produce food for both local people and city dwellers with less water and energy demand while also reducing the land usage. Urban Farm project is inspired by the character of Podoli which is an area that provided city with economic facilities and contributed to the quality for years, where gardeneres and greengrocers used to live as history states.This vertical farming and agricultural research centre is designed as an additional building to the new Charles University Research Building. It aims to provide food for inhabitants meanwhile search sustainable solutions in urban areas. Several ramps and an elevated farming floor is designed to create a dynamic transition between two main roads.
