Municipal library Kolín

The intention of the city of Kolín is to build a new municipal library in the heart of the Kolín castle which is gradually undergoing transformation into a cultural centre of the city. The new building is meant to replace the current library located on Husova and Benešova streets which is inadequate when it comes to capacity, lacking the space not only to store book units but also for other common areas (study rooms and others). The new multifunctional block built on the foundations of former barns will serve as a municipal library, gallery space and cultural centre where all generations can meet.
