Raumdance

The aim of the project was to create a pleasant environment in the locality and revive social life. The multifunctional building includes a café, two shops and a dance school. The main idea was to design balrooms so that they enable dancers to view one ballroom to another. That is why the ballrooms are arranged according to Raumplan in different high levels. This creates an interesting flowing space that makes an impression of lightness and openness. The rich roof landscape of the building aims to let as much light as possible into the ballrooms. The supporting structure is concrete. The façade consists of faced concrete of lighter shades. The area in front of the church is formed by a dance school, a association house and a museum.
