Masarychka Kids

Bc. Zlata Masliana

Annotation

Masaryčka kids is a building designed primarily for children. Its functions complement the missing urban infrastructure for the youngest inhabitants of Prague 1. The elevated part of the "tower" building is filled with art and music studios with the cabinets of speech therapists and child psychologists. On the two floors there are two kindergarten classes for children with special needs, and a two-level roof playground. Most of the ground floor serves a family community center with a bar, and in a smaller part of the ground floor there is a pharmacy. The material solution of the building in the gap was linked to the regular character of the order's buildings along the street in Florence. The main motif "arch" refers to the original building of Masaryk Railway Station.
