MULTIFUNCTIONAL HOUSE PALACKÉHO NÁMĚSTÍ

The multifunctional center is located in the very center of Prague on Palackého náměstí. The exact location is justified by the urban purpose - the square is currently not enclosed on three sides, which creates a very unpleasant feeling when entering it. The proposed object is used to create a public space. On the first floor there is a cafe and a hall, sunk into the terrain. Almost any public event can take place in a hall with variable elevation. However, if the situation requires it, the elevation can be hidden and the hall can be left open for further events. On the second and third floors there is a public library, in which every visitor to the square can spend their free time reading a book or use the private spaces of the study rooms. Sculpture studios are located on the top floor.
