Respect and contemplation

In this work, I focused on improving the layout of the road from the main entrance to the cemetery towards the chapel and on adjusting the space around the chapel. Today, the chapel looks "tucked away" because it is surrounded on three sides by the cemetery background. In my design, I expanded the free space around the chapel. Thanks to this, the chapel has gained a more dignified place where people can gather before the ceremony or just sit and meditate. In front of the chapel I placed a fountain, which is to symbolize life. In the area behind the chapel there is a columbarium and a place for outdoor farewells. I divided the path from the main entrance to the cemetery to the chapel into two parts - a busier part in front of the caretaker's house and a quieter part at the graves.
