Rokycany by foot

The city of Rokycany is having a big problem with cars and fragmented structure in its center. My proposal is aiming to deal with one of the most affected area by that which is located near railway. Railway itself creates a barrier in the city which is very hard to cross. It causes the degradation of nearby land, turning it into very unwelcoming environment. In my idea of development the importance is focused mostly on pedestrians. Therefore I am turning selected spaces into park with various pathways so different possibilities of crossing could be used. Park also reacts to green circle around town which is now not connected together in its southern part. Proposed solution also creates new housing. Its form reacts to the needs of a city and also supports new walking axis.
