We'll meet in the village square

The Old Kolin is a village in the central region of the Czech Republic, not far away from Kolín and Kutná Hora. The new housing with line suborn is planned for the area close to the centre of the village. The suborn is space for gathering and evolving relationships between the neighbours. My design links to the history of village architecture back in times when the suborn was the centre of all happening. There is new walking ring designed through the new housing development. This walking ring will guide the residents during their short walks to the river and on the way to the centre of the village. The new housing development then simply transforms into the old structure of the village.
