CIVIL BUILDING, SMETANA´S EMBANKMENT, PRAGUE - OLD CITY

The concept of the design and its shape is a geometric game, but it has its meaning and the axes perpendicular to its edges always point to one of the many views offered. With its functional use, it is designed as a multifunctional pavilion of the gallery, thus contributing to the cultural life. It is accompanied by a restaurant and a relaxation-study open-space, which in turn provides additional activities such as spending a whole day on the embankment itself. It is covered by a massive green roof, which extends the street profile with grassy areas in the style of a promenade with the possibility of relaxation. Residential stairs with a multifunctional stage on a pontoon complete the attractiveness and possibilities of living on the Smetana´s embankment.
