Restaurant Obora - Prague ZOO

At the highest point of the Prague ZOO, there is an estate with a view across Prague, where the Obora bistro stands, which does not suit the traffic of the ZOO, so the management decided to use the plot to build a new restaurant and apartments together with a souvenir shop and lookout tower. The concept is based on two shamrocks, which are connected by a glass ring. The first floor contains a restaurant with kitchen facilities and a souvenir shop. The second one contains 5 apartments with different views. The central space is open up to the roof with a circular skylight. The rotation of the upper mass made it possible to create covered entrances and seats. The metal lookout tower stands on a triangular floor plan and rises to a height of 18 m. Each of its mezzanines rotates by + 20 °.
