Annotation

The house is located in the gardens of the Emmaus monastery in Prague. Substantially, the design tries to respond to the context of the monastery and to make the best use of the slope. The functions of the house are to create a friendly and charitable community, which has always belonged to the monastery. The building, together with the garden, should unite people across social classes and generations. The project combines several functions. The main one is community housing for the seniors, intended mainly for active and social people. The second essential function is a day center for homeless people, which offers to their clients food, medical and counseling help and premises for a basic hygiene. In addition to these facilities, there is also a dance hall and café.
