NYMBURK S, M, L, XL

What will Nymburk look like in 50 years? We asked ourselves this question when designing urban interventions. To better grasp this, we shifted freely between different scales, and looked at developments from the city level to individual front yards. We wanted to find out who the Nymburks are and what city they would need. We imagined the atmosphere of small nooks and the feeling of walking through the streets. These are based on the original street structures and use the already existing infrastructure. We did not cross the boundaries of the current development, but we transformed the existing brownfields, block by block. The factory chimney will stand out as a lighthouse in the panorama and will remind of the industrial tradition of Nymburk.
