LDN Barrandov – architecture of care
Annotation
The goal of treatment is to return. Back to family, friends, society. Back to the hustle and bustle of the city, back to an active life. I'm integrating the long-term care building into the urban fabric. Patients are in daily contact with everyday life, and at the same time have peace of mind for their own treatment and social life. In this way I break down the idea of the hospital as a large monotonous institution drowned in an oversized garden. I am bringing it closer to ordinary buildings of a smaller scale.
