Hotel Budějovická, renovation of the DBK parterre and the new Budějovické Square

From the beginning, the building was designed as an integral part of the square, the parterre of which is open to all sides of the space it occupies and naturally connects to its surroundings - the House of Residential Culture and in the study only indicated intermittent arcade within the three sides of the square, which would consist of DBK, a hotel and an administrative building with an active parterre. The elliptical elements in the ground plans, the largest of which is inscribed on the façade, remind of the DBK cinema space, which was also visible on the façade in the original state of the building, and at the same time can become a theme (motif) for further formation of the adjacent public space.
