Opava the Favourite

A district between Krnovská and Olomoucká streets is a part of the overall Study City plan of Opava. We propose a way to develop the city within its boundaries. In the area from Jaktař to Breda, the stabilized development of the 19th century is filled in the blanks, some street profiles and public spaces have been modified. Towards the periphery, there is currently a brown field, which we are transforming into a block town with a natural street structure. The railway is now a major obstacle in the area, the key to the proposal is to connect the fragmented city, so there are two footbridges, one bridge and one underpass leading to the train station, the entrance to which is emphasized. We identifyed the most green spaces, which together with others create a city-scale greenery system.
