Albrechtice u Most - analysis of the site

Bc. Mario Barra

Annotation

Albrechtice u Mostu was founded at the end of the 13th century, when the Romanesque church of All Saints was built in this village in the Ore Mountains. Despite stormy times, especially the 17th century (plague epidemics etc.), the village survived all the hardships until the second half of the 20th century. At that time, as well as a large part of the nearby arboretum, the expansion of lignite mining in the ČSA mine had to give way, all residents were displaced by 1981, and two years later the entire village was razed to the ground, including the historically valuable church. Today, there are no signs after the settlement, the last hint is a dead-end section of the road, ending indefinitely at the border of the ČSA highway and reminiscent of the form and location of a defunct village.
