RENOVATION OF A HOUSE IN SLAVONICE

The proposal deals with the gentle restoration of a historic building in Slavonice. A small historic town is located near the Czech-Austrian border in the South Bohemia region. The first mention of this place dates back to the 13th century, when a Slavic settlement stood here. Projetk is working to preserve authentic elements and replace inappropriate building modifications and structures. The windows and most of the doors were not original, so they have been replaced with historicizing replicas. The ground floor functions as a communication and commercial space, while the first floor fulfils a residential function. The basement is used as storage space for the residents of the apartments. The attic is used as a seasonal living space.
