Apartment building under the chestnut tree

An apartment building under a chestnut tree fills a gap in Palackého Street in Mnichovo Hradiště. It offers four different apartments: a barrier-free apartment on the ground floor, a studio apartment, an apartment with a children's room in the attic and a studio apartment with an attic bedroom. The house is divided into two masses, a wider and higher one facing to the street and a smaller one hidden in the yard. In order to increase the intimacy of the apartments with windows to the street, the bigger mass has a floor level of half a floor higher than the smaller one. This storey jump is also used for the partial basement of the house, which offers four cellar cubicles of different sizes adequate to the different areas of the apartments and the technical and maintenance background.
