Way out of the city

Michaela Hasnedlová

Annotation

The Botič was historically one of Prague's important streams. About thirty mills stood on its banks. Over time, the Botič lost its use. Fear of floods and growing development enclosed the stream in high walls. My urban design brings the Botič back into the game. I suggest a concept of the Botič's treatment and potential from Nusle to Hostivař Dam. The final path seamlessly connects the centre of Prague with the recreational area of the Hostivař dam. New uses, characters and forms of channel and flow emerge along the river. Finally, I define the areas suitable for transformation.
