Kindergarden Nové Dvory

The new urban development Nové Dvory in Prague 12 at the metro station D was created in cooperation with the Prague Development Company and offers a number of plots for the design of residential buildings, multifunctional houses or public buildings. One of them is a kindergarten. The design follows the elevation of the terrain and thus the kindergarten lies on three height levels. The building consists of 6 separated units with a capacity of 24 children per unit, and further communication in the form of a corridor that connects each unit and makes the kindergarten passable. While the corridor is single-storey and allows to overcome the elevation by the use of stairs and a lift, the unites are double-storeyed with a staircase to the second - "sleeping" floor.
