House 68

I call the house that commemorates the memory of Marie Charousková and the place of the tragic event as House 68 whose number points to an year full of innocent victims. The main function of House 68 is the 20th century gallery - 3 large halls through which the visitor walks on ramps. On the underground floors the gallery is joined by a multifunctional hall. The simple and clean form of the two buildings represents two functions and the courtyard of House 68 clearly follows the dimension of the underground floors. The whole form is completed by a wall, which is also the main concept - a house within a wall - and which brings a visual and acoustic barrier from the traffic although it would take pedestrians away from one of the most important park paths.
