The award-winning project focuses on the landscape of Černá v Pošumaví, a popular recreational area by the Lipno reservoir. The project works with the open landscape on a large scale, employing a layered approach. It thoroughly examines the water regime, carefully identifying its lost elements. The design focuses on the restoration of watercourses and wetlands to retain water in the landscape and enhance water quality. A separate aspect of the project involves proposing shoreline vegetation of the reservoir, along with the innovative feature of floating islands. Additionally, the project aims to improve landscape permeability, by complementing the network of paths with small-scale architectural elements. The proposed vegetation elements are linked to the water regime and the area's paths network. The design emphasizes the regulation of settlement development to support the local landscape’s identity. All layers are sensitively interconnected into a well-thought-out concept. The jury appreciated the work on complex landscape design. The thoroughly carried out analytical part is reflected in the landscape-architectural design. The concept of countryside permeability is sensitively linked to the restoration of the water regime, the promotion of biota, and, in particular, the promotion of the landscape’s identity on top of the local places within it. Aside from the conceptual level, the work also includes more detailed proposals for designing individual parts of the site. The work is prepared at a high factual and graphic level. The author’s commitment and personal input is evident.
