Cistercian monastery, Krkonoše

I chose the Cistercian monastery in the Giant Mountains for the assignment. The main purpose for me was to preserve the philosophy of being of the Cistercians and enable them to have a pleasant life in the mountains. The site's shape and steep terrain enabled the monastery to fit elegantly into the surroundings. Firstly, it allows a private stay for the monks, secondly, it opens up a nice view of the surroundings. The round shape I chose corresponds to the idea and at the same time does not disturb the landscape, which for me was the most important part of the design. I tried to give priority to established centuries-old traditions in the organization of monasteries, and with due respect to try contribute in my project.
