Annotation
The proposal extends the area of the former monastery in
Milan and gives it the function of a contemporary urban
library with archives. In place of the southern
courtyard, a public study is being built.The concrete façade
of the archive is projected to be partly reconstructed with fragments
of the San Bernardino Church, which was originally
that originally stood here and was destroyed during World War II.
Individual artefacts, such as parts of the cornice,
coluns, fragments that have survived from
of the original church complete the overall picture
of the church and bring back the memory of the people.
