Annotation

Today, the book is not the main carrier of information, neither can the library be a symbol of collective memory. Instead of a house of knowledge, libraries are today a space for studying and meeting. The chosen location is a park, which is already an area for meetings, so I see no reason to build it up completely. I strive for minimal built-in, and to maximize program use. I propose two subtile and tall buildings watching the park. The taller object, the archive, symbolizes what the library used to mean. It contains a seven-story conservation fund and a large study hall. Second house is an image of today’s library. It is a vertical study room lit by an atrium. There is a cafe on the ground floor of the study hall, which can be completely connected with the outside.
