WEBSHELL is a project created by a combination of BIO-ARCHITECTURE and NANOTECHNOLOGY. I wanted to design bio-architecture right way. Therefore, the structure is built directly by the spiders, and that is why it is a natural production of spider silk, not a synthetic production. Thanks to the natural spider fiber, WEBSHELL is fully degradable and renewable. The only condition for sustainability is to provide suitable conditions for spiders to survive. Spider shelters are designed to serve primarily for short-term living, although these BIO-constructions can be used and adapted to almost any shape and purpose, from short-term living to an exhibition gallery, temporary shelter or footbridge in nature.
