House in Bhutan

Romana Sobotková

Annotation

Faith, relationship to nature, light, and traditions. It is usual for them to have prayer rooms with an altar in their dwellings. A room that is immediately available from the moment you enter the house. Affection for nature, materials are therefore available from the surrounding area. The L-shaped house was adapted to light and oriented to the south so that the sun's rays fall into the living rooms. Bhutan is proud of its traditions, which can be seen in its building style. The foundation, i.e. the ground floor, should be stable, that's why I chose stone. The first floor is already made of wood. It is supplemented with thermal insulation made of sheep's wool. It is an ecological production. And the roof, on which the photovoltaic film is attached.
