Horní Libeň - masterplan

The existing historical buildings connecting the Old and New Libeň form the centre of the locality. The eastern wing of the site is an industrial district. Within the masterplan, the new development of the transformed area is connected to the older part by block development. New semi-detached houses complement the existing buildings. For the development of the western part of the site (detail), a checkerboard grid was chosen, which allows an unobstructed view of the Prague skyline. The road network was adapted to the morphology with diagonal roads. The permeability of the area is made possible by additional pedestrian roads. Small-size houses are located on the slope. The southern edge of the site is connected to the existing development with new apartment houses. The garden colony concept
