Primary music school Dlabačov

Since the fall of the socialist regime, the former turntable in Dlabačov has not found a new use and continues to deteriorate. It is an urbanistically very interesting plot of land on which I decided to design a primary music school. The building is situated on the south-western corner of the plot right next to the bus stop providing safe transport for children. The concept of the mass is based on the location of the 220-seat auditorium, which is located on 4th floor and the gradient of Vanickova Street. The cantilevered 2nd floor lightens an otherwise heavy, dominant building that combines a reinforced concrete frame with a segmented brick façade.
