Palace Marie Charousková

CTU student Marie Charousková's life has ended by the handsof a soldier of the occupying forces of the Warsaw Pact in August 1968. The Student Palace dedicated to her the memory is situated in the northern half of the square in Prague's Klárov, above the center of the current transport hub. It includes a hall-auditorium and study areas. The building consists of three above-ground and one underground floor. The public area of the ground floor also serves as a tram stop. On the first floor is situated the entrance to the hall and its facilities. On the second floor there is a spacious study room with a library and an entrance to the corridor of the hall. Vertical communication is ensured by a massive reinforced concrete ramp.
