Biotope house

The apartment house is located in Prague's Klárov district where Marie Charousková, a student of CTU, was shot by a Russian soldier on 26 August 1968. In memory of Marie Charousková, the building is dedicated to starter flats for newly employed students. The façade of the building is overgrown with climbing ivy; the gradually expanding green area restores a part of nature to the place. The house is divided into two parts on the ground floor, ensuring a smooth passage to the park from the Malostranská metro station. The ground floor also provides spaces accessible to the public: a grocery store, a café, a newsagent and a pharmacy. The second and third floors comprise 28 apartments with layouts of 1bd, 2bd and 3bd. These floors are pre-set and create space for terraces on the fourth floor.
