Footbridge KOKRHÁČ

The footbridge is designed to bridge the Boudecký stream on the tourist route, the so-called Krakonoš path in the Krkonoše National Park. The concept of the design is to apply the principle of boat structures. The boat keel is represented by a beam set into the stone foundation at the lowest point. Attached to it are diagonally prisms symbolizing the ribs of the ship. These prisms carry the prisms of the railings. The footbridge is designed as an all-wood structure made of air-dried larch wood. Only the joints are metal. The larch wood was chosen for its structural strength and durability, but at the same time it is a natural material and the footbridge will not disturb the surrounding nature.
